Fun-filled Fall Day at the Playground: Ninja Course and Trampoline Adventure
There’s something magical about fall – cooler weather, brightly colored leaves, and the perfect excuse to spend a day outdoors. Last weekend, I decided to make the most of the season and visit a nearby indoor playground, Oleao, known for its thrilling Ninja Course and Trampoline Park. The day was filled with excitement, laughter, and a few minor injuries, and was an experience worth sharing!
Arriving at the Playground
As I walked into the Oleao playground, I was greeted by the happy sounds of kids laughing and parents chatting. The place was full of life. The playground is spacious inside with colorful equipment and areas designated for different activities. The main attractions that caught my eye were the Ninja Course and the huge trampoline area. Both were packed with kids and adults, each looking to conquer their own challenge.
Ninja Course: Test Agility and Strength
I decided to tackle the Ninja Course first. I’ve always been fascinated by obstacle courses, and this one was the perfect blend of challenging and fun. The obstacle course is divided into multiple sections, each designed to test a different skill, like balance, strength, and agility. There are hanging ropes, swaying platforms, balance beams, and even a small climbing wall. It looks intense, but that’s part of the appeal.
The first obstacle is a set of swaying ropes. They’re spaced just far enough apart to make reaching the next obstacle tricky. I grab the first rope and feel the adrenaline rush as I swing forward. As I reach for the next rope, my grip tightens and I nearly fall into the foam pit below. My arms feel like they’re on fire as I make it across, but the feeling of accomplishment is worth it.
Next up is the balance beam section. It looks simple enough—just a series of narrow beams suspended a few feet above the foam pit. But as soon as I step onto it, I realize how wobbly it is. With every step, the beam sways, testing my balance and focus. Halfway through, I can barely stand, but after a few deep breaths and a slow, steady approach, I finally make it to the other side.
The final obstacle is a climbing wall with a switchback. Instead of simply climbing up, you have to traverse sideways through a wall with limited handholds. This requires careful planning and strength to avoid slipping. My arms were already tired from the previous obstacles, but I took my time and planned each move. When I finally made it across, I felt an incredible sense of accomplishment. Completing the Ninja Course is not only physically challenging, but also mentally stimulating, requiring focus and strategy.
Trampoline Area: Jump into the Fun
After the intense Ninja Course, I needed something a little more relaxing. The Trampoline Area was the perfect choice. It's a huge area with interconnected trampolines, foam pits, and even a dodgeball court. The moment I stepped onto the trampoline, I felt a surge of energy. It was incredibly freeing to jump into the air and defy gravity, even for just a second.
I started with some basic jumps to get a feel for the bounce of the trampoline. With each jump, I jumped higher and added some spins. Soon, I was trying somersaults - well, half somersaults. I admit, I landed awkwardly more than once, but falling into the soft, cushioned surface made it fun.
One of the highlights of the trampoline area was the foam pit. The idea is to bounce off a trampoline and jump into a giant pit filled with soft foam blocks. It looks easy, but once you're in the pit, getting out is a completely different story. I took a run-up, jumped as high as I could, and leapt into the air. For a moment, I felt like I was flying. Then, I landed in the foam pit and sank into the foam blocks. Climbing out was a workout in itself, as the foam loosens with every move. But I was laughing the whole time.
Dodgeball Showdown
Just when I thought I had run out of energy, I noticed a group of people gathered on the dodgeball court. It was a trampoline dodgeball game, where players use trampolines to dodge, duck, and jump out of flying balls. I decided to join in. The game was fast-paced and exciting. Trampolines add an extra dimension to the classic game, making it more challenging and more fun.
Jumping out of the way of an oncoming ball while trying to throw it back to your opponent is harder than it looks. But the unpredictability of the bounce made every moment exciting. My team won the first round and I managed to dodge a few close calls. By the end of the game, I was breathless and beaming. It was the perfect end to an already amazing day.
A well-deserved break
After hours of jumping, swinging and climbing, it was time to take a break. The Oleao playground has a cozy cafe area where parents and children can relax and take a break
